The apartments could be good but the maintenance level is just not acceptable. Tired furniture and poor plumbing in the bathroom need to be rectified. Location is great but more care needs to be taken.

Very dodgy dealings. I cancelled within the policy 3 years ago after their website ‘lost’ my email from 2 months before the cancellation date, I even proved it was sent. I even re-cancelled on the day to which they said I was too late.

My husband and I booked an apartment in Red Lion Square through City Marque for a month for summer 2017. To our horror we discovered in September 2016, totally by accident (no one from City Marque bothered to contact us), that the company has gone into liquidation! Luckily we were able to book another apartment in London for our dates -- our airtickets are already bought and we would have been in a real jam if we'd discovered this bankruptcy any later -- but I fear our advance payment of GBP 774.00 is going to be hard if not impossible to retrieve.

The flat was lovely but my experience was not. I went to London for a conference, and received an email to say that the flat had been cancelled during my stay. I was unable to contact city marque as their phones allegedly being upgraded and they did not respond to email. Booking.com said there had been an issue with overbooking but I should not have a problem. When got back to the flat that evening there was a letter addressed to whom it may concern telling me that the flat had been secured by the land lord and that any attempt to enter the premises without the landlords permission may be a criminal offence and result in a prosecution. The land lord was unobtainable. I was thus made homeless in the middle of my trip to London. It took about 3 hours to find an alternative and the financial cost has not been sorted as yet.
